Colorado Springs police are looking for the suspect who robbed a Diamond Shamrock just before midnight on Wednesday.

The robbery happened at the store near Austin Bluffs Parkway and Templeton Gap.

But in this case, police tell us the thief tried a new approach.

"When he entered the store he backed in,” said Sgt. Jim Meyers. “Then he was ducking behind display cases…trying to hide his identity. But different camera angles caught him."

Police also say the suspect was wearing one glove and told the cashier he had a gun. But no gun was ever seen.

The suspect got away on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police describe him as a white man in his mid 20s wearing a black hoodie, a black ski mask, the single black glove and dark jeans.

If you know anything about this crime, call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
