He was shot to death near a bus stop and police are still looking for his killer. William Dieckmann was found murdered two and a half weeks ago at the intersection of Mallard Drive and Teal Court, near Fountain and Circle. It was a cold and snowy Wednesday morning in late November. Dieckmann’s body was found by a bus driver, who traveling his usual route.

Police don't have many leads at this point and need the public’s help.

Dieckmann’s father, Robert told us, "He was out of jail, got a good job and was trying to turn life around." Robert says his son had drug problems, but was trying to kick the habit. A few months before William’s murder, Robert says his son just met his young teenage son for the first time.

William's little brother, John says he was a friend to everyone and would do anything to offer a helping hand. “I just looked up to him like any younger brother would. I loved him. I wanted to see him go places that he wanted to go."

But John will never see that happen. His brother's life tragically ended on a cold and snowy November day. His killer is still on the loose.
