Fort Carson soldiers manned the griddles, cooking thousands of pancakes, piling pounds and pounds of scrambled eggs on empty plates.

The 49th annual street breakfast held in downtown Colorado Springs Wednesday was once again a huge success. This, just a few weeks before the big show; the 2009 Pikes Peak Or Bust Rodeo being held at the Norris-Penrose Event Center July 8th-11th.

All proceeds from the street breakfast went to military and other local charities.

Among the crowd the "Girl's Of The West", rodeo ambassadors.

"We're keeping the tradition alive," one said.

Keeping with that tradition, the Range Riders set out on horseback from Pikes Peak and Tejon for their 5 day trip before the rodeo in July.
