A senior cadet at the Air Force Academy was sentenced Wednesday to nine months' confinement and a dishonorable discharge for running a pornographic Web site from his dorm room and using his school computer to organize off-campus orgies.
Cadet First Class Sterling Barnes of Topeka, Kansas was taken
into custody immediately after sentencing. His defense lawyer
declined to say whether Barnes would appeal.
The military judge also ordered Barnes to forfeit his four years
of academy pay and benefits -- which could total more than
120-thousand dollars.
Barnes was accused of sending e-mails to hundreds of people and
organizing and participating in sex sessions involving as many as
two dozen men and one woman.
