A former high school teacher accused of having a romance with a student was ordered today not to have contact with anyone under age 18 until her case is resolved.
A judge also set a preliminary hearing for former Brighton Charter High School social studies teacher and cheerleading coach Carrie McCandless for January 22nd.
The 29-year-old is charged with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A police report alleges McCandless gave a 17-year-old male student alcohol and had improper contact with him on a school-sponsored field trip to Estes Park.
McCandless is the wife of the school's principal.
