Police are investigating a murder on the southeast side of town. It happened at the intersection of Mallard drive and Teal court, near Fountain and Circle.

Police say a bus driver was driving his usual route when he saw a man in his early 30's, laying on the ground next to this bench around 6:15 Wednesday morning. Police say the man had an apparent gun shot wound.

Neighbors say they suspected something was wrong hours before. “Around 1:39 in the morning, I heard 4 direct shots," Rod Ham tells 11 News. Ham says it's shocking to have something like this happen so close to home. "This is a good neighborhood."

Police are not releasing name of the victim yet. This is the 14th murder of the year; the last 7 murders have happened in the past two months.
