Continuing to track rain/snow showers throughout southeast Colorado this morning as wet, gloomy and cool conditions continue. If you are hitting the roads in the higher elevation (Teller/Fremont/Custer/ Monument) make sure you allow a little extra time as some roads may be a little snow covered. Wet pavement remains everywhere else. We'll see rain/snow showers continue for most of our Monday, clearing out before midnight. Head on over to the "Weather" tab for a full look at the week ahead.
Five Colorado Springs businesses remain closed after a fire Thursday night. The fire broke out around 6:00pm at the strip mall on north Academy Boulevard between San Miguel and Palmer Park. The blaze originated in the Alan Power Equipment engine repair shop.
Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire. They have found some hazardous materials at the scene, including propane, and other fuels.
They say though damage is significant, it certainly could have been much worse.
