An investigation into leaks in the Kobe Bryant sexual assault case has cleared the Eagle County sheriff and district attorney of any wrongdoing.
A spokesman for the Pitkin County sheriff's office, which conducted the investigation, confirmed the conclusion today. It was first reported by the Aspen Daily News and The Denver Post.
Bryant's defense team had requested the investigation to determine who was leaking details about his case to the media.
Eagle County Sheriff Joe Hoy refused to comment until he received official notification. The spokeswoman for District Attorney Mark Hurlbert and defense attorney Pamela Mackey have not returned calls.
Bryant faces a preliminary hearing in the case October Ninth.
