Officials at the Air Force Academy say charges were filed today against a senior cadet who is accused of misusing government computers and software to run a pornography site on the Internet.

The charges were first reported by KMGH Television in Denver and confirmed by academy officials.

They say Cadet First Class Sterling Barnes was charged with violating Article 92, which is failure to obey a lawful order or regulation.

The academy says he's specifically charged with using government computers to advertise and sell pornography and wrongfully store obscene material.

He's also accused of conduct unbecoming an officer and for arranging for group sex sessions.

An Article 32 hearing is pending. Officials say he could get up to 14 years in confinement.
