Colorado State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash outside Pueblo.

According to Colorado State Patrol, it happened a little before 2 a.m. Friday on Highway 50, about 2 miles west of Pueblo.

Troopers say the victim has been identified as 29-year-old Joseph Vigil from Pueblo West. He was heading west on Highway 50 in a Honda Civic, when he drifted partially off the left side of the road. He sideswiped a post, then over-corrected, rotating into the median.

Troopers say the Honda rolled, throwing Vigil from the car. The Honda ended up on its side in the eastbound lane. Vigil was pronounced dead at the scene.

Colorado State Patrol officers say alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the crash.

Kari, I don't know you, but I'm sorry for you. You responded with more restraint than I would have. I will pray for you and your son. Like Amanda said, keep God close... He is our comforter and our peace.

Awh......girl I feel you, whatever they say, He was a good swwet guy and we all loved him very much. We all make bad choices and very seldom do we think that it would have such an impact on our lives or our families and in this case it took his life. No matter what his memory lives and no one can ever take that away. God bless you and the family. I thank God for my cousin, he was always a blessing to us as we were growing up and I will never forget him. Keep your head up, this is a life long struggle but keep God close and remeber our blessings ( like that beautiful boy you got). God bless you and much love!!!!
