Bryant Case to Trial?

Legal experts have little doubt that the Kobe Bryant case is headed to a trial because of the evidence prosecutors plan to present at next month's preliminary hearing.

Bryant is accused of raping a 19 year old woman at the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera in Edwards, where she worked in June.

In a court filing last week, District Attorney Mark Hurlbert said he'll present photographs of the alleged victim's injuries. There's also a statement from the NBA superstar that allegedly confirms what the woman told authorities.

A judge will decide at the October 9th hearing whether there is probable cause that Bryant might have committed the crime. If he
decides there is, Bryant will have to stand trial.
