Pueblo County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Pueblo West Fire Department are investigating a fire that happened in the 200 block of West Coral Drive.

Half a duplex was burned from a fire that started in the garage of one of the units.

According to Sgt Ray DeBiase with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office, “The items inside the single car garage were lost in the fire, along with a vehicle that was parked next to garage which had also caught fire.” The drywall inside the garage, that will need to be replaced, did its’ job by preventing the fire from entering into the rest of the structure.

It is unknown at this time how much damage was caused to the inside of the duplex, but it has heavy smoke damage. No one was injured; the owner of the duplex was not at home at the time.
