A Fort Carson soldier has been charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of a 19-year-old Colorado Springs woman.

Army Spc. Thomas Woolly, who served in Iraq with the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, was charged Wednesday. He was arrested May 10 in the death that morning of Lisa Baumann. He was released the next day after posting $10,000 bail.

Baumann was fatally shot at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westmeadow Drive. Police have released few details, but relatives of Baumann say the shooting happened at a party.

Police say Woolly also accidentally shot himself in the leg that night. He was treated at a hospital and released.

A phone listing for Woolly, of Oklahoma City, could not be found.
