Pike National Forest to Reopen

The Pike National Forest will reopen on Friday. The U.S. Forest Service says most unburned areas of the forest will be open to hiking, biking, picnicking, and travel. All camping sites in unburned areas will be also be open for use, unless they are specifically labeled closed or restricted. Fee area campgrounds will be available on a first-come, first served basis. All open burning is still banned, as it has been since May.
