Hundreds of soldiers with the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team are now home from Iraq.
The group was given a warm welcome from their families a little after 1:00 AM Tuesday morning.
They have been away from their families for about 11 months.
The early morning arrival is just the beginning of several homecoming ceremonies that will be held Tuesday at the Mountain Post. Two more waves of soldiers are expected back home Tuesday afternoon.
For Private First Class Joshual Hungerford, it is time to switch from war duty to diaper duty.
"He''s going to take over diaper duty starting tonight; no break for him," says wife Chrystal Hungerford.
However, PFC Hungerford responded, "We'll just have to see about that."
All of the 3rd HBCT is expected home by Thanksgiving.
