West Nile Virus Death

An 82-year-old Pueblo County woman has become the 12th Coloradan to die from West Nile virus.

The woman, the fourth Pueblo County resident to succumb to the disease, died on Friday, Aug. 29, at an Arizona hospital where she had been taken by her daughter, after the mother became ill in Pueblo with West Nile Fever.

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, there are 941 human cases of West Nile virus in Colorado.
