28-year-old Shenequa Brown appeared in court Wednesday, to be advised of the charges she is facing. She's facing charges of identity theft and criminal impersonation among other charges.

Brown was at one point employed with Policy Studies Inc. or PSI. The company contracted with El Paso County to provide the office staffing for El Paso County Child Support Enforcement. She was fired from that position. PSI has released as statement about the allegations against Brown saying:

"We are disturbed to learn of the former employee’s arrest. Our primary concern is to support the investigators in determining if this former employee somehow inappropriately used information or money from the program we operate – and if so, to notify any individuals whose information may have been compromised and replace any missing payments."

The investigation has not revealed whether or not Brown got the information to steal the identities while she was working for PSI.

She'll be back in court later this month.
