November Ballot Issues

While there aren't any statewide political offices up for election this season, Coloradans will still have some things to think about come the November election. Many statewide and regional referenda are on ballots across Colorado and are receiving a lot of attention.

One of the biggest is Referendum A. That statewide ballot question would authorize up to two billion dollars in bonds for water projects across Colorado. The plan has drawn criticism from Western Slope residents and politicians.

Voters will also get to vote on Amendment 33, which would authorize video-lottery terminals in horse and dog racing tracks across the state. Voters in Denver will get to choose whether to give the city more flexibility in how it pays its employees.
