Missing Woman Found

Colorado Springs Police have been looking for Jennifer Bowers since Tuesday night.

The 23 year-old was last seen leaving bartending school that night but never showed up to pick up her children from her mother's house.

Police also found her purse strewn across the parking lot where she was last seen.

Police aren't saying much but they are working with the FBI to determine exactly what happened the night Bowers disappeared.

But today, the search ended when Bowers was found in another state.

And Vernon Swaffar, Jennifer's stepfather, is relieved and happy.

"Any parent that's lost a child ... if you can get them back like we have, that's wonderful."

When she gets home the family will celebrate the Thanksgiving they never had.
Across town at the bartending school bowers attended, director Jennifer Messick is elated about the news.

"I was so relieved and just happy about it. That's the best response or the best thing that can happen when somebody has disappeared ... is to find out that they are okay."

Police say Bowers was taken to a hospital as a precaution after she was found.

But Sgt. Jane Anderson of the Colorado Springs Police Department says that's all they are saying for now.

"The major crime detectives are not releasing any other details regarding this case as they are trying to work with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies to try and piece togather the circumstances surrounding her disappearance."

Jennifer Bower's step-father says she is now in protective custody until police figure out exactly what happened.
