Marriage Protest

A Colorado Springs church is putting up a fight to make same-sex marriage legal.

Two Unitarian ministers say they will not sign any marriage licenses until the government legalizes gay marriages.

Reverends Ellen Johnson-Fay and reverend Jude LaFollette of the Unitarian Universalist Church say the board approved their protest.

They say they will still perform marriage ceremonies but people
will have to get their licenses signed by county officials.

That they say, creates an inconvenience for heterosexual couples and raises awareness about the issue.

Universalist churches across the nation are taking similar stands.
