Colorado cities and counties have received an additional 19 million dollars in federal grants for homeland security for equipment and training.

Governor Owens said Wednesday the grants will be awarded to
first-response agencies, which include police and fire
departments, hazardous materials teams, paramedics and health
agencies.

Pueblo and Larimer counties will each get about one million
dollars to be split among city and county departments.

Colorado agencies received more than nine million dollars
for homeland security earlier this year.
