Update: 2 Cases of Swine Flu Confirmed in Colorado

Colorado health officials said Wednesday they were awaiting test results for what they called five suspected cases of swine flu. Thursday morning, they announced 2 cases have been confirmed.

The 2 confirmed cases are in Arapahoe and Douglas counties.

Colorado lawmakers are set to get a briefing from health officials about the illness Thursday afternoon.

Officials say swine flu may be responsible for 150 deaths in Mexico. The number of U.S. cases has surpassed 100 in 12 states.

Health officials said Wednesday a 2-year-old boy from Mexico who died in Houston was the first swine flu death in the U.S.
