Democratic congressional hopeful Jay Fawcett says he wants to know where eight billion a month being spent on the war in Iraq is going.

During a debate today in Colorado Springs with Republican opponent Doug Lamborn, the retired Air Force officer says he would call for an investigation into where the money's going.

Lamborn says he agrees that Republicans have not always done as good of a job as he'd like them to, but he says that leaving Iraq is not an option.

The Fifth Congressional District in and around Colorado Springs -- has never been held by a Democrat.

A recent poll shows Fawcett and Lamborn in a dead heat.
