Salazar: Justice should remedy security flaws at Supermax

Senator Ken Salazar is asking Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to ensure the Bureau of Prisons fixes security flaws at Colorado's "Supermax" prison.
A Justice Department investigation made public last week found that limited funding and a growing inmate population has hurt efforts to limit high-risk inmates' mail and telephone calls.
Convicted terrorists at the federal maximum-security prison in Florence were found to have written an estimated 90 letters between 2002 and 2004 to Islamic extremists. The letters later surfaced in the hands of a terror suspect who used them to recruit suicide operatives.
