Man Who Helped Columbine Gunmen Paroled

A man sent to prison for helping Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold buy a gun they used in the Columbine High School massacre was paroled Saturday. A Department of Corrections spokeswoman says Philip Duran was placed on parole because he completed 75 percent of his sentence.

Duran will have to stay in weekly contact with a parole officer, hold a job and live in an approved residence. The 26-year-old Duran worked with Harris and Klebold at a pizza shop. He introduced them to Mark Manes, who sold them a semiautomatic handgun used in the April 20th, 1999, massacre.

Harris and Klebold fatally shot a teacher and 12 students and wounded 23 others before killing themselves.
