Continuing to track rain/snow showers throughout southeast Colorado this morning as wet, gloomy and cool conditions continue. If you are hitting the roads in the higher elevation (Teller/Fremont/Custer/ Monument) make sure you allow a little extra time as some roads may be a little snow covered. Wet pavement remains everywhere else. We'll see rain/snow showers continue for most of our Monday, clearing out before midnight. Head on over to the "Weather" tab for a full look at the week ahead.
(Mesa Verde National Park) -- Parts of Mesa Verde National Park are closed to visitors today over concerns of extreme fire danger in the area.
Tours of Cliff House and Balcony House, two cliff dwellings of ancestral Pueblans, were canceled. Long House tours were to continue, according to the visitors information center.
Weatherill Mesa, which burned during wildfires at the park two summers ago, remained open, along with the Far View visitors center, lodge and campground.
