Some 85 Colorado National Guard soldiers in two units have received orders to prepare to go to Iraq.
They're scheduled to relieve forces who've already been there up to a year as part of the Pentagon's plan for rotating troops.
Another 240 Colorado National Guard soldiers in Iraq have also received orders that their deployment has been extended three to four months.
Those include about 170 people in the Denver-based 220th Military Police Company, and another 70 people in the Montrose-based Charlie Company of the 109th Medical Battalion.
The 1157th Engineering Company based at Pueblo received "alert'' orders today, along with the approximately 65-member 143rd Signal Company based in Grand Junction.
