A soldier killed when a home-made bomb exploded in Iraq today has been identified as Specialist James R. Wolf, an engineer assigned to a battalion based at Fort Carson.
Post officials say 21-one-year-old Wolf was killed after the bomb exploded near his convoy in Mosul. Wolf was from Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
He enlisted in the Army with hopes of making it a career and had been in Iraq for seven months.
Wolf's mother, Chris Wolf, says her son was working on housing for U-S soldiers and Iraqi citizens.
