Authorities were on the scene of a single-engine airplane crash near Centennial Airport in Arapahoe County.
Authorities say the single-engine Beechcraft with only pilot William Disser on board crashed during a landing attempt shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday night. The plane ended up in the parking lot of an office building, just northeast of Arapahoe Road and Lima Street, near the airport.
South Metro Fire Rescue spokesman Andy Lyon says Disser walked away from the crash with just minor injuries and declined medical attention.
Lyon says the plan clipped a light pole and three parked cars, but no one on the ground was injured. Authorities are not speculating on a cause, but Disser says the plane lost power. The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate tomorrow.
