Will terrorists attack the U.S. again? Many said it's not a matter of if, but when. That's one of the many discussions happening at the Homeland Defense Symposium going on in Colorado Springs.
It’s the only conference in the country that brings together leaders of homeland defense and homeland security.
There are several dozen exhibitors showcasing items that could better prepare America; things like gas masks and a portable survival units equipped with running water and electricity. We sat down with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Mr. Peter Verga and asked him, “Will America suffer another attack like 9/11?” “I hope and pray it won’t. I think we will likely suffer another terror attack. I think it will be as soon as terrorists are able to do it and they will.” Mr. Verga said when they strike, it will be a way we never imagined.
The conference goes until Thursday, and the other leaders speaking include the former president of Indonesia and the head of NORAD and USNORTHCOM.
