City Vendetta?

Douglas Bruce says he wants to spend more time in politics, and will run for the El Paso County Commission.

Colorado Springs authorities have denied any vendetta against Bruce because of his efforts to reduce tax rates.

Bruce has received citations for poorly maintained property in Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo. He spent eight days in jail in 1995 for contempt of court in connection with operating an unsafe building.

His 1992 Bill of Rights requires voter approval for new taxes and limits increases in government spending.

Bruce says he'll campaign for a statewide tax reduction in 2004.
