Sgt. Steve Zittel said investigators are considering ruling the death of 31-year-old David Valdez an industrial accident. Zittel said 43-year-old Michael Asbury of Pueblo was backing up the Ford F-450 that struck and killed Valdez.

Both were part of a 10-member crew that was getting ready to repair expansion joints on an Interstate 25 bridge in Pueblo when the accident happened Thursday morning.

Valdez is survived by a son.
