Top commanders will meet with Air Force Academy cadets this week to try to inspire them to meet the high standards expected of officers.
Academy comandant, Brigadier General John Weida, calls the situation at the school a "crisis in character.'' In addition to the sexual assault scandal that became public early this year, the academy is now struggling with a series of arrests for drug use and distribution.
Four star generals and decorated veterans will arrive at the school Monday and mingle with cadets for a couple of days. Air Force Secretary James Roche will be among the visitors.
