Police in Aurora have located a 14-year-old girl who was the subject of a statewide Amber Alert on Wednesday.
Police believe Misty Gallegos' former boyfriend, 26-year-old Armando Jorge Perez-Vera, took her from an apartment parking lot on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday evening, police say Gallegos was found in a car with two men, and all three were being questioned by police. Perez-Vera was not one of those in the vehicle.
Investigators say Perez-Vera and two other men pulled up in a vehicle and assaulted a 20-year-old man who was with Gallegos. Police say the friend witnessed Perez-Vera grab Gallegos and force her into his car.
