Colorado Springs Police have arrested a suspect in a hit and run accident that left a woman in serious condition last night.

The accident happened just before midnight Friday night on Tahoe Blvd, near Union and Airport on the southeast side of Colorado Springs.

Police say they were able to find and arrest 42-year-old Kerry Julian by following a fluid trail left by his car from the accident scene to the 800 block of Hutchinson Drive. Police say Julian ran from police but was caught after a short foot pursuit.

Police say Julian was driving down Tahoe Blvd. when he ran into a vehicle that was parked in a driveway and hit a woman who was standing outside the vehicle. Police say the woman suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. Julian drove away from the scene hitting two more parked cars before he was stopped by police and a foot pursuit ensued.

Mr. Julian was arrested and is facing charges of DUI, Careless Driving and several other traffic related charges.
