Dean for America -- the presidential fundraising campaign for Howard Dean -- had a record-setting third quarter, including $230,000 donated by 4,000 Coloradans.

More than 3,200 of those Coloradans donated for the first time. Nationally the campaign raised more than $14.8 million, beating the $10.3 million record for a single quarter set by President Clinton in 1995.

More than 168,000 people contributed an average of $73.69 each to push Governor Dean to the record. Dean plans to visit the University of Colorado in Boulder on Tuesday. He'll hold a rally with students and local supporters.
