A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
A little baby fat can be cut but a new study says many toddlers are on the track to obesity.
The study, commissioned by baby-food maker Gerber, finds some toddlers eat too much fat, sugar, and salt and too few fruits and vegetables before their second birthday.
As part of the study, telephone interviews were conducted randomly asking caregivers what their toddler ate that day.
More than 3000 were having french fries, pizza, candy, and soda on a daily basis.
Dietitians say children between the ages of 1 and 2 need only about 950 calories a day but the median intake was more than 12 hundred calories.
