City fire officials warn we are not out of wildfire season yet. They say dry weather and windy conditions mean our fire danger is still very high especially on the city's west side.

The west side is referred to as the wildland urban interface, or the area where the city and mountains come together.

Experts say little rain and windy conditions are making for a potentially dangerous situation if people don't continue to be vigilant. So, fire officials are telling residents to be extra careful outside, until wetter weather returns to the city. And, they say one storm won't be enough, it will take several good storms to significantly reduce the danger.

Fire officials are asking people to keep their eyes open, and call 911 as soon as they see smoke or flames.
