Colorado lawmakers are preparing to debate a bill that would give in-state college tuition to illegal immigrants.

Supporters say the business community is behind the proposal.

The Senate Education Committee takes up the bill sponsored by Democratic Sen. Chris Romer Thursday.

Romer has tweaked the bill to gain support from other lawmakers, adding a requirement that students sign an affidavit saying they are seeking legal status and eliminating a state subsidy of up to $2,700 that other students receive.

This is the fourth time Colorado has tried to give the lower-cost in-state tuition to undocumented immigrants.

Chris Romer may be the stupidest human being on the earth.

What is the sense in obeying laws in this country when illegal aliens can come here and do whatever they want and be totally protected. Most of these politicians will be fully surprised at the overwhelming anger festering over the illegal immigration issue. It is going to come back and bite them very hard as the economy continues to head south. Good luck Obama, oh that is right even Obama didn't have to prove he was an American citizen. He refused to show his birth certificate.
