Police have located the family of a little girl who was found wandering by herself in a Colorado Springs neighborhood.

Police tweeted the update at 11:15 a.m. They did not say exactly when they made contact with the girl's family.

The 4-year-old was found Sunday night on the 3900 block of Regency Drive. The area is near Highway 115 and Broadmoor Valley Rd.

Police say the little girl appeared to be OK when she was found, but could only give limited information about herself, and no information about where she lived or her parent's names.

The Department of Human Services was called to take care of her while police tried to locate her parents/guardians.

Police did not release any details about how the little girl ended up alone in the neighborhood, but they did say so far no charges have been filed.
