The Denver police officer involved in the shooting of a mentally disabled boy is wanted in Iowa.
A judge in Iowa issued an arrest warrant Saturday for James Turney. He faces a misdemeanor harassment charge for allegedly threatening to shoot his former mother-in-law in the head.
Turney was involved in the shooting of 15 year old Paul Childs on July 5th, a day after allegedly making the threat.
Denver police spokeswoman Teresa Garcia says she could not
comment. Turney's ex-wife, Teresa Orme, had moved back to the
southwestern Iowa town of Shenandoah with the couple's nine year old son shortly after they divorced last year.
