Snow and rain will continue to taper from north. Main roads should stay just wet overnight and through early Thursday. June Keefe Owens, the mother of Governor Bill Owens, has died after suffering a stroke. She was 86.
The governor's spokesman, Dan Hopkins, says Owens' mother suffered the stroke on Sunday while being treated in an area hospital for a fall.
She was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota, and was a familiar figure at state events. She attended both inaugurations for her son.
She had five children and 11 grandchildren and they range in age from 2 to 30.
