I went to high school with Kylie and I can tell you that eventhough I was never that close to Kylie, she was always someone I viewed with respect and could always put a smile on someone's face, and she always treated everyone with respect. Kylie if you read this, just know that you are in my thoughts, and I hope everything turns out ok for you. And Sherry- I hope everything turns out ok for you and your family as well. This is an unfortunate situation and I hope everything turns out the best for everyone

Kylie, thank you for your words of apology & concern. I am sorry for your circumstances and recent losses...and although I do understand what you were going through I am sorry that you turned to harmful vices. I am sure you have learned quite a bit in this past month as well as all of us. We can't take anything for granted, life is precious, we need to use our time wisely. You are only a few days older than my son and it breaks my heart that you have been forever affected by this..but thankful also that God is forgiving and will bring you through it. We'll still pray for you to find peace & that you stay on the right path now.

First of all, I wanted to apoligize to everyone that was involved in this tragic accident. I appericiate all of the support from those of you who know my situation. I am not making up any excuses, however, I don't think it is anybody's business to call me a "bimbo" or anything else. And Sherry, I am very sorry for what I put your family through. It was a tragic accident and I have learned my lesson. This case is still under investigation so I can't say much else. But I have been through so much recently and I had a meltdown. And Adam is right, my boyfriend (at the time) was in the car and the police do know about it. I am sorry that you don't know the whole police report. Again, I appreciate all of the support I have received and I am so sorry for everyone I have hurt.

I have an update on the man in the Tracker...he was released from the hospital Tuesday...apparently he had severe facial injuries and I would assume other injuries. Thank God he is alive as well as the others involved.

Adam, what makes you think there was someone else in the car? And why would the police not know this? I'm only asking because when we arrived at the scene (our son was driving the white Ford pickup that was hit) they already had Kylie in the squad car and were taking her away....just wondering what your evidence is?

I was with Kylie for the last four years as her Boyfriend and best friend. About two months ago I chose to go into treatment for alcoholism and heroin addiction, she did not go through treatment and quit drugs but started drinking heavily. Her mother was terminal with cancer and Kylie was very close to her. When we broke up she started seeing very abusive and disrespectful men that were much older than her and had been released from jail within the few weeks before she meet them. They were taking advantage of her for her beauty and possessions. she meet a boy thats the same age as her and she thought that she had meet a good person althogh she also found out two weeks ago that shes pregnant as well. What people dont know is this kid Kyle was with her during the time of the accident maybe even causing the loss of control to the vehicle. When the accident occured he got out of the vehicle and left the seen of the accident leaving his pregnant to fend for her self not knowing what injur

STOP making excuses for this ignorant, stupid, girl!,,,,,,,,look what she did. she wasn't thinking about no one but herself, and you think she's gonna care about what she did?,,,no one forced her in the car and she did it on her own,,,,,Sometimes people are to quick to forgive. So,,,,,,,,,,,i'd like to know her story for getting in a car ,DRUNK,,,,,,,,,and almost killing the other people involved. i have no sympathy for her at all.

I just attended her mothers memorial service a couple of DAYs before seeing this...... I pray for everyone involved.... but I do know the Idlemans are good people...I just feel so sad.....I loved Mrs Idlman and if she had been killed by a drunk driver instead of how she died...I would be hurt....but, I would have to forgive..Kyle things will get better hun......I know you will learn from this....

Even though my fiance was killed by a drunk driver years ago, I remember it today like it just happened. One never forgets. So please, anyone who drinks, do NOT drive!

My fiance was killed by a drunk driver. This drunk driver's friends should have stopped him from driving home. Another time, my own car was hit by a drunk driver backing up from a parking space without looking. This young woman's friends should have stopped her from driving, too. Too many people drinking and driving causing mayhem and grief. "Friends stop friends from drinking and driving!"

We think we have tough drunk driving laws - we don't even come close: 1) Malaysia - you are jailed and your wife is too 2) South Africa 10-year prison sentence and $100K fine, 3)Norway, Finland, and Sweden; hard labor 4)Russia - life loss of driving privileges 5)Bulgaria - 2nd conviction results in execution and the number one all-time anti-drunk driving award goes to El Salvador - execution by firing squad. Well, at least they used too, but it seems they have backed off a little bit (Amnesty International thing). So here is my point - posting bail, crying over the loss of your license, having to go to court, take classes, etc...does not resonate in someones mind as being harsh. If you went to El-Salvador today and you knew leaving the bar that if you drive it may not end in a good night - you probably would not. Why is that rational not accepted as much here in the US?

My daughter was killed by a drunk driver. There are no excuses for drinking and driving. She is lucky she didn't kill someone.
