After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. The main impact will be the cold along with winds gusting up to 40 mph at times. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
About 70 Fort Carson Soldiers are home with their families, after 7 months in Kuwait. The 60th Ordinance Company, 43rd Area Support Group were there to make sure their fellow soldiers on the front lines had plenty of ammunition, and that it was disposed of safely.
The group arrived at Peterson Air Force Base Saturday evening and made it to Fort Carson just after 6:00pm.
The 70 soldiers were deployed December 10th and for many family members, they say it feels like it's been an eternity.
Loved ones say they're full of pride for the service their family members have provided for their country.
Many of the soldiers will now be taking some time off to spend with their families.
And, say Fort Carson officials, they will all undergo mandatory counseling to make sure their reunion is successful.
