The father of a young boy who disappeared on a hike in Poudre Canyon three and a half years ago says he finally has some peace this Father's Day.

On Saturday, Allyn Atadero and the Larimer County search and rescue
team unearthed a portion of a skull and a tooth that they believe belong to his son Jaryd. The remains were found in the same area where hikers recently found the clothes the then three year old was wearing when he disappeared in October 1999.

The discovery provides some relief for his grieving father who says at least he knows where his son is now.

Investigators say they believe Jaryd was probably attacked by a mountain lion.
