The debate is still very hot over whether a toll road should be built from Fort Collins to Pueblo.
The company proposing the plan is, The Prairie Falcon Parkway Express, formerly known as, The Super Slab. Thousands of citizens have been fuming since it was proposed more than twenty years ago. A public meeting was held Thursday night at Calhan High School in El Paso County. Hundreds of residents who showed up say they refuse to relocate and refuse to get rid of chunks of their land. A letter was also sent from project workers earlier this week warning them of what might come.
The toll road would stretch a whopping 210 miles from north to south, part of which would cut right through eastern El Paso County. The project would cost $2.5 Billion, all of which would be paid privately.
