A Colorado Springs man had his first day in court. David Bean faces one charge of murder for the death of his wife.
Bean reported his wife, Melanie, missing last Monday morning. Later that day, he told police he found her body in her jeep. It was parked in front of a vacant building off of Garden of the Gods Road and Centennial.
In addition to evidence that she was strangled, an autopsy shows her head was cut. Police detectives also found blood in the garage of their home, indicating a struggle there.
