Fire officials say it was a one-acre grass fire on Saddle Mountain Road. The Colorado Springs Fire Department say the fire was sparked by a fire cracker. Arson investigators are still being called out to investigate.
No one was hurt in the fire and no structures were burned.
Fire officials say January is one of the highest months for fire danger. They say people tend to get careless in the winter and forget about the dry conditions and winds.
