A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. Several inches of accumulation will be possible in areas where these bands develop. For more information click the ‘Weather’ tab...
Nearly 40 percent of Colorado residents believe the quality of life in the state is slipping, according to an annual survey.
But just 29 percent of residents think Colorado's quality of life is improving. That's the biggest difference in the “Mind of Colorado” survey's nine-year history.
Results of the annual survey were released Wednesday. They show residents rate the state's quality of life at 7.7, with ten being a perfect score.
Coloradans are most worried about the economy and the drought.
The survey found most people prefer spending cuts to higher taxes. But six in ten people would prefer a temporary tax increase over cuts in service.
The University of Colorado-Denver's Graduate School of Public Affairs surveyed 743 registered voters for the report.
The survey has a sampling error margin of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.
