SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) -- At a hearing in Santa Rosa, a Sonoma County prosecutor and a sheriff's department lawyer said deputies have asked for a new warrant to again search the computer hard drive of the former suspect in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case.
They said improved technology in the five years since Karr was charged with five misdemeanor possession counts could reveal additional images. But it's not clear whether deputies still have the computer or whether the warrant was approved.
On another issue, the judge refused to unseal documents connected to the case, citing the ongoing investigation and Karr's right to a fair trial.
